Penn built the Warfare with an aluminum spool, three ball bearings, an oversized clutch and a great ergonomic aluminum handle! This version of the Warfare has an open face and allows you easy access to the spool. Penn has included their top of the line HT-100 drag system to produce fifteen lbs of fish stopping drag at max. The main and pinion gears are made of bronze and will hold up well over time. Whether you’re bottom fishing or jigging, a sub-$100Penn Warfare Star Drag Reel is a solid, affordable reel.
