Dubbed the “Mackerel Box,” the 160L ice box is a favourite among serious anglers who chase pelagic species like mackerel, jewfish, and tuna. With a generous internal length of 1125mm, it easily fits a 15kg mackerel or jewfish laid flat, and even a 20kg+ fish curled slightly. This size has even comfortably housed a 38kg yellowfin tuna.
Its split lid design makes it incredibly user-friendlyopen one side for quick access, or fully open both lids for larger loads. A reinforced centre seal maintains insulation even with partial access. This is ideal for keeping food and drinks in a tub inside while isolating fish, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.
Fitted with four heavy-duty injection moulded hinges that stop just past 90, the box is built tough to withstand rugged use. The 80mm lid insulation and 4045mm side and base thickness deliver superior ice retention without excessive weight.
