Available in two models and eight colors, they are designed to pair with any color reel that exists. Dark Matter Psychedelic X and Z Casting Rods will perfectly match with Avet reels in the SXJ and MXL size classes as well as Accurate BV-300, BV-400 and BV-500 classes. We recommend pairing these rods with a small, compact and powerful reel to maximize performance and fishing experience.

With so many color options, gone are the days of spending $500 or above for a custom built off-color rod. Just grab a Psychedelic rod and go slay em! The rod starts with a high-modulus M3 Carbon Nano blanks that is ridiculously sensitive as well as incredibly powerful, giving you the ability to not only detect even the slightest offering, but the ability to yank fish out of tight structure without worrying about blank integrity. Additionally, you can use the heavier Z for trolling and live bait applications. The X is an incredibly versatile rod that can be used here in the Northeast for anything from fluke to tog. Feel free to throw a 300 or 400 size baitcaster on there and toss plugs at stripers or bluefish, as well as redfish and snook down south. The X features Fuji Alconite guides and a Fuji graphite reel seat with trigger and locking nut. The heavier duty Z is outfitted with Alps Alconite Guides and matching colored Alps heavy duty aluminum reel seat and gimbal butt. Our custom made, highly tacky grips have the Dark Matter logo etched in a spiral pattern. No worries about slippage here, I dont care how nasty they get.
